02
Who can join?
techie is open to undergraduate USC students of every major and background. If you are interested in business, technology, or the work that connects them, we encourage you to apply.03
When are meetings?
General meetings are held weekly on Mondays at 7:00 PM PT. Programming alternates between conversations with industry professionals and professional-development workshops, with additional social and networking events throughout the semester.04
What is the time commitment?
General members are expected to attend speaker meetings, stay current through club communications, and participate in the community. Members can take on deeper commitments through client service projects and leadership opportunities.05
What is the general member application process?
The application opens August 25 and is due September 4 at 11:59 PM PT. The process consists of a written application; there are no interviews for general membership.06
What is the Client Service Project?
Client Service Projects give members a semester-long, real-world experience. Project managers and analyst teams work with a company client to address a core strategy problem, then present their recommendations at the end of the term.07
Does techie support students pursuing technical roles?
techie primarily explores business roles in technology, including strategy, marketing, finance, product management, and talent acquisition. Technical students can still benefit from our recruiter and alumni network, as well as exposure to roles where a technical background is valuable.08
How can I get involved in leadership?
Leadership applications open each spring and include a written application, interview, and activity with current e-board members. Current members receive priority because they have a strong understanding of techie’s programming and culture.09
How much are club dues?
Dues are $25 for returning members and $40 for new members. For financial concerns, please contact us directly.10
